Content
Studio 14 reserves the right to cancel a class or close the studio due to the following reasons:
• Less than six class registrations.
• Unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, illness, power outages and attendance.
• Inclement Weather: We reserve the right to cancel your event or close the studio due to a weather emergency or if conditions warrant unsafe travel. Should this happen, a studio credit will be issued to all registered guests.
• The last painters will be seated one hour prior to closing. If there are no painters in the studio, we will clean up and close early.
Arriving at the Studio
Please be on time for your event or workshop. The studio will open 15 minutes prior to allow for check in and seating. Please do not arrive too early as you may have to wait while we finish cleaning/disinfecting or preparing the studio for the next event. It is to the discretion of the instructor to not accept a late arrival at an event or workshop if it is potentially detrimental to fellow students. This will be treated as a late cancellation.
Health and Safety
Studio 14 takes your health seriously. We adhere to the current CDC guidelines for frequent cleaning and disinfection of all hard surfaces within the studio. As per the Governor’s mandate of July 22, 2020, face coverings are mandatory while moving about the studio, but may be removed once you are seated. We supply disposable masks at no charge for those who may not have one. Weather permitting, you may sit outside on the Pottery Patio without a mask. Please email or call ahead to make sure the Pottery Patio is open prior to making a table reservation.
Please practice social distancing. You will be required to sanitize your hands upon entry to the studio and don a mask if you don’t already have one.
Technical Issues and Breakage
Studio 14 ensures that experienced and trained staff are the only people who will handle and fire your ceramic work. However, by the nature of ceramics, especially within a teaching studio, there is always a risk of technical failure and breakages for which we cannot be held responsible.
Pickup of Finished Pieces
Fired pottery is generally ready for pickup 7 to 10 days after your event or workshop. We do send a reminder text once your pieces come out of the kiln, but will not continue to send additional reminders. We recommend you pick up your finished work as soon as possible after your event or workshop to help keep our storage area clear and avoiding damage to your pieces. If finished ceramic work is not collected within 3 (three) months of the end of the event or workshop, we will donate or dispose of it.
Studio Clean-up (Clay Workshops only)
All working areas and tools must be cleaned after use. The last 15 minutes of all studio clay workshops are dedicated to gathering tools and cleaning work tables, tools, and other equipment for each individual student’s work area. This is a community studio and its cleanliness depends on everyone doing their part.
A good rule of thumb: When you are done it should be cleaner than when you started. No exceptions please.
Conduct and Exclusions
We are a family-oriented studio. Disruptive or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. Patrons of Studio 14 should be respectful and courteous at all times. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to exclude any offending parties from the studio at any time if behavior in our opinion is deemed dangerous, inappropriate or causes (or has the potential to cause) offense, harm or injury.

Any personal information you give to us will not be shared to third parties. We will use the information to process your booking, to provide the event, workshop or course and to inform you about similar events, workshops or courses which we provide, unless you tell us that you do not want to receive this information. Any personal data you provide will be held in computer storage. We do not store credit card information.
